NTI BIZPRO AWARDS 2014 FOR BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR:

 

NTI BizPro Awards was launched in the year 2007 and is an annual social initiative, which aims at acknowledging, rewarding and promoting the momentous achievements of Omani business professionals in the private sector. NTI carries the mantle for developing leadership skills amongst young Omanis. The BizPro Awards is designed to inspire the Omani youth to take the success story to the next level.

 

 

NTI BizPro Awards 2014

The NTI BizPro Awards 2014, held on the 17th Shabib Al Said, honoured the most promising of Omani professionals who were nominated by their peers in the corporate world, their aptitude was evaluated by experts and final results further authenticated by KPMG.

The theme for this year’s BizPro awards was ‘Change’. Change is a two way process that not only affects the individuals but also qualifies each individual as an agent of change. This year NTI celebrated not only positive change that is brought to Oman by its brightest young Business Professionals, but also the change in the NTI itself and its advancement towards becoming regional market leader in training services.

The three winning candidates showcased a proven ability to harness change in their respective business environments. BizPro Awards recognises and honours their contribution to Oman’s economic growth and development.

THE CONCEPT

 

NTI BizPro Award for Business Professional of the Year – The purpose of this award is to motivate and value the ground-breaking achievements of young Omani Business Professionals who will be tomorrow’s leaders.

NTI BizPro Awards 2014 for Business Professional of the Year:

Given Oman’s business pace, the need for leaders is certain to grow exponentially. Global competition further adds to the challenge of identifying and nurturing leaders across business functions. Organizations need to create leaders who can transform the businesses by efficiently managing people and resources. The NTI BizPro Award for Business Professional of the Year is constituted to recognize, motivate and develop these leadership and life skills in young Omanis.

The winners of the Business Professional of the Year Award will be reviewed and selected; guaranteeing objectivity and credibility, by KPMG. The winners would receive a scholarship sponsored by Renaissance Services SAOG towards enhancing their management education.

Eligibility Criteria:

Who can nominate?

Any individual or company may nominate a candidate subject to meeting the below mentioned criteria:

• The Nominee must be an Omani National in the age group of 25 to 35 years
• The Nominee should be preferably employed at a managerial / supervisory position with minimum 5 years of work experience
• The Nominee should have management aptitude, leadership qualities and effective communication skills
• The Nominee should be able to train, support and encourage team members

Nomination Process:

The hard copy of the duly filled nomination form can be couriered to the address provided in submission details at the end of the nomination form.

Last date for receiving nominations is 10th April 2014

Selection Process (by KPMG):

The selection process will include the following:

• Nominations received by KPMG: All nominees to participate in screening management aptitude test
• 12 semi finalists selected by KPMG: Assessment process based on multiple activities
• 5 finalists selected by KPMG: Assessment based on presentation skills
• 3 WINNERS selected by KPMG

 

EVALUATOR

KPMG:

KPMG, the Global Audit, Tax and Advisory Firm, will be the independent Evaluators of Candidates of the 2010 BizPro Awards. KPMG’s independent evaluation of the process will assure candidates of even greater transparency in the selection process.
