More than 130 Young Achiever nominees had been filtered down to 3 by the expert KPMG panel that took them through the evaluation process. Then, there was the much-awaited announcement of the winner of the BizPro Business Leader Award.
The main objective of these awards, now into the 4th consecutive year, has been to reward and promote the achievements of the Omani Business Leaders and Young Achievers by acknowledging their contribution to the corporate sectors in Oman. The National Training Institute has instituted the BizPro Awards to be a definitive thrust towards recognizing the role models and mentors of the business world here. Partnering with business houses, the primary objective has been to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of Omani performers, and inspire people and contribute to the growth of the country.
The BizPro awards strive to spark this fire in talented individuals by presenting them as acknowledged performers of the business world, and arousing their desire to live up to new responsibilities. No wonder, the awards have become a benchmark for recognizing and rewarding Omanis who have excelled in their professional domains, both as Young Achievers and as Business Leaders.
At the stroke of 7pm, the show began, in the presence of hundreds of luminaries from the corporate world, with internationally renowned adventurer, Nabil Al Busaidi, as the guest speaker for the evening.
The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Said Al Noufli, HR Team Leader, Petrogas, winner of the Young Achiever Award in 2009.
Welcoming Nabil Al Busaidi, Baha Al Lawati, Sr. Manager, National and International Accounts from Oman Telecommunications , winner of Young Achiever Award 2008 said Nabil has always pursued the path of excellence, and his presence as the guest speaker for the evening was apt, as he himself had transformed into being a role model for many Omanis.
