NTI BIZPRO AWARDS 2015
The ninth edition of NTI BizPro Awards was held at Grand Hyatt on 27 May 2015.
The theme of the event: “Progress demands change”, was introduced by the presenters Abdul Aziz Al Abdul Salam and Noora Jawad Sultan, both winners of NTI BizPro Awards 2014, with the words, “Youth should be at the forefront of the global change and innovation. Empowered, they can be key agents for development and prosperity.” The NTI BizPro “Top Business Professionals of the Year” 2015 are Fahad Mohamed Zahran Al Maawali, Chief Manager Treasury, Bank Sohar; Fatma Said Mohammed Al Sulaimani, Human Resources Manager, Radisson Blu Hotel; and Ibtisam Said Abdullah Al Khaifi, Learning & Development Advisor, Shell Oman Marketing.
While the BizPro Awards has acted as a “career catalyst” for young Omani professionals, with the candidates becoming agents of change in their organisation – and their society, NTI has been enabling change by empowering them with the knowledge, skill and aptitude for success.
The awards look for candidates who showed the ability and passion for excelling in their field of work as well as a high degree of business acumen. Out of a competitive field of over 120 nominations this year, six of the highest calibre was shortlisted as finalists by the official evaluator, KPMG, through a stringent assessment and selection process. Each of finalists was recognised with a certificate of merit presented by HH Said Tarik bin Shabib. The official presenter of the Awards since inception 9 years ago, Renaissance Services has awarded 27 scholarships to winners.
“Over 30 years, NTI too has evolved by creating advanced training infrastructure; reinventing, innovating and adopting new techniques to engage and educate. Today, as part of the Babcock International Group – one of Europe’s leading training providers – NTI brings the best of global training knowhow to the Sultanate,” said Lawrence Alva, CEO of NTI.
“NTI BizPro Awards is now a widely acknowledged platform for identifying, recognising and empowering potential future leaders of corporate Oman,” he added.
